There’s also Huang, who would love to do this if he could ever get drunk. Tsuzuki in Descendants of Darkness during an especially angsty moment in the Kyoto arc when he starts questioning his own humanity. Kogoro Mouri is an Alcoholic Parent , but he’s rarely seen straight-up invoking the trope. It does happen once in a while, however, especially when he’s got cases that personally trouble him ; he does so in a filler case where it looks like the sweet girl he once was a tutor for has become a murderer and that sends him into a depressive fit. For worse, he’s right and the poor girl’s reasons are very dramatic. Played for Laughs in a White Day-related case, where Inspector Megure’s wife Midori gets toasted when it looks like her husband has forgotten to get her a gift.

Thanks for reading and thank you to greysanatomyimaginesworld for the request! It was super fun to write. She is killed with Mark Sloan in the season eight finale. She is fired following an explosion at the hospital. Production and development[ edit ] Conception[ edit ] Shonda Rhimes wanted to make a show that she would enjoy watching, and thought it would be interesting to create a show about “smart women competing against one another”.
There’s something fascinating about the medical world—you see things you’d never imagine, like the fact that doctors talk about their boyfriends or their day while they’re cutting somebody open. So when ABC asked me to write another pilot, the [operating room] seemed like the natural setting. The show was picked up as a mid-season replacement for Boston Legal in the television season. She pointed out that “[m]edical shows are hard, and it was hard trying to figure out where ours could be different.
But where everybody else is speeding up their medical shows, [Rhimes] found a way to slow it down, so you get to know the characters. There’s definitely a strong female appeal to it. The camera flies around, adrenaline is rushing.
Whatever romance was brewing between Karev and Wilson, it may have to wait as drama continues at Seattle Grace Mercy West. This article contains spoilers for those who have not seen the latest episodes of Grey’s Anatomy Season 9. Read at your own risk. Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Finale:
I mean, Karev (Justin Chambers) cannot leave Grey’s. Ever. Ever. After a rollercoaster relationship, Karev and Jo finally tied the knot in the finale last season.
Edit At two weeks old, Jo Wilson was left by her mother at a fire station. She was shuffled among numerous foster homes until age 16, when she began living independently out of her car. Jo worked furiously to get through school, graduating as high school valedictorian and moving on to Princeton University, graduating cum laude. Schmitt was the only person who supported her by saying, “[at graduation], I had one person: Meredith was put in charge of choosing an intern for the intern appy and she chose Jo.
In surgery, Jo froze as expected when she ripped the cecum after removed the appendix and Meredith had to finish the surgery.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Finale: A Wedding, Baby & Secret Marriage (SPOILERS)
Meredith is seemingly distracted and struggles to stay focused, and Maggie finds herself the keeper of a big secret while Amelia and Owen try to figure out their relationship. In the second hour, new doctors continue to shake up the hospital in typical Grey Sloan manner. Meredith bonds with a patient while Jackson struggles with the meaning behind recent experiences; and after making a life-changing decision, Jo forms an unexpected alliance.
At this point, it pretty much goes without saying: If you’re a character on Grey’s Anatomy, you should probably prepare to have the worst life surgeons — although they are all definitely good looking — live kind of miserable lives at the hands of Shonda Rhimes, and one who’s been dealt most of the worst cards is Alex Karev.
These two were not good together, but forbidden love — even the poisonous kind — can still be delicious. These two spend all their time fighting and crying while having convenient excuses to blame for their behavior hello, brain tumor! Watching these two make each other miserable is proof that misery does not love company. And there was something between her and Owen that was compelling, if not exactly ideal.
Leah was just a whiny, clingy mess, and crying with a bone saw in your hand while in the OR with your ex and her wife is just not a good look. Seeing Arizona cheat on Callie made her unsympathetic to fans and the fact that it was with someone as irritating as Leah rubbed salt in the wound. Plus, they have a shared sense of humor!
Afterward, though, with all the Harper Avery controversy and Catherine buying up the hospital, and it feels like Richard is less invested in this relationship than in previous ones. Plus, this was another coupling that came out of infidelity, even if it began when Adele Webber was dealing with dementia. They began as two beautiful people who found love in one another but, as time wore on, their relationship became more complicated and, unfortunately, uglier.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ winter premiere: Everything you need to know before the series returns
Tony Goldwyn in a very, very different story. He and Justin Chambers are in competition for longest marriages on this list. They went together without their spouses so, of course, that meant they were clearly having an affair.
Alex and Jo begin dating after them both denying their feelings for each other. Jo and Alex fight over his father, but Alex realizes Jo was doing it because she loved him. They both were in .
The series started off by focusing on the challenging lives of surgical interns, and as the series progressed we got to watch them blossom into residents, attending physicians and even become heads of their own surgical department. Of course, no medical drama would be complete without drama. Of course, some of them just relocate for other jobs, but it is still a sad departure.
And although some of our favorite characters are not on the show anymore, such as Izzie, George, Lexie, Derek, Mark, Callie and Cristina- life goes on at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital and we learn to move on as well. Luckily, we still have some of the original crew, and a pretty talented bunch of newcomers. Despite the several cast changes throughout the years, the series is still going strong and is now on its fourteenth season, making it the longest-running scripted primetime series currently airing on ABC, and the second-longest in all of ABC history after ER of course.

ABC Meredith landed yet another admirer in the form of Dr. Five bucks says we never see this guy again. ABC As an eye doctor, Julia Holley Fain could totally see that she was stepping in Lexie’s way by dating Mark, but she still wanted to get serious with him — like, really, really serious — fast.
If he did, Karev will be spending the next two years of his life behind cell bars, and never practice surgery again. Or maybe Meredith’s last-ditch effort — an awfully convincing, powerful voicemail message about their relationship and his worth — did its magic.

I can see why he would be upset because the break up was still fresh but honestly, that’s not Deluca’s fault. But in Camilla’s interviews she did mention cheating so I guess it’s not obvious if it was over? I really hate that about Jolex, some people would’ve even called Jo sleeping with someone else in the six weeks in 12×09 cheating when they were broken up back then too.
All because we never see the immediate follow up scenes. We miss out on the immediate aftermath and then we can never tell if they’re broken up or not.
